Apartments - Students live in apartments within walking
distance of the Beit Midrash, convenience stores, supermarkets and
restaurants. Many of the staff members, including the Director and her
family live close by. Each apartment houses students as well as a
Madricha (an Israeli counselor who is fluent in both English and Hebrew
and is available at all times to help the students make the most of
their Israel experience). Kitchen amenities are provided for
students to prepare their own dinners. Tables, desks and chairs along
with comfortable couches and internet access are provided for a pleasant
home away from home feeling.
Shabbatot and Holidays - “In” Shabbatot and holidays as well as
off-site Shabbatonim are conducted throughout the year. Shabbat at
Midreshet Devora is a fun, meaningful and a unifying experience. On
free Shabbatot and holidays, students are encouraged to travel the
country. The apartments are open all year round and students
have access to the staff during traditional “off” times. We ensure
that every student has a place for every Shabbat and Holiday.
